Saqib is running for State Senate to give the residents of District 39 a real voice in Annapolis. Our campaign is built around every-day Marylanders giving their time and resources to elect a true progressive. While Saqib’s opponent, Nancy King, relies on lobbyists and corporations for support, our campaign is dependent upon a committed group of individuals to carry us to victory on Election Day.
This is not only evidenced by the dedicated volunteers who pack our office daily, but also by Saqib and Nancy King’s respective sources of funding. 81% of Saqib’s contributions come from individuals like you, while just 27% of Nancy King’s fundraising comes from individuals. In fact, 65% of Nancy King’s funding comes from business interests or PAC’s.
The lesson is clear: at the end of the day Saqib will be accountable to the folks powering this campaign, not the lobbyists and corporations bankrolling Nancy King. As your state senator, Saqib will be accountable to YOU!
