The Washington Post’s Dr. Gridlock recently mentioned an interesting and very important piece of legislation that Saqib has worked on in the House of Delegates.
Over each of the past three legislative sessions Saqib has introduced the Malfunctioning Traffic Light Act to mandate that non-working traffic lights be treated as four-way stops. In each of the last three legislative sessions insiders in Annapolis have dismissed this bill as an irrelevant proposal.
This recent storm and the resulting power outages have demonstrated that Maryland needs Saqib’s Malfunctioning Traffic Light Act. Saqib will continue the fight to enact this law, and other laws that will prioritize regular Marylanders over Annapolis insiders, if you send him back to Annapolis.
