Over 300 Join Saqib for his Kick-off Event

Thanks to everyone who joined us for Saqib’s kick-off event!  Over 300 supporters were in attendance yesterday as Saqib launched his campaign for Maryland State Senate.

Saqib spoke about his determination to provide the residents of District 39 with a voice to counter that of the powerful lobbyists and special interests in Annapolis and many of those who joined us signed up to help us knock on doors and talk to voters. The crowd joined Saqib in chanting that they “will put the people’s interests over special interests” by working to elect him.  The grassroots energy yesterday sent a strong message that Saqib can win this race.  With the help of the hundreds of determined individuals that were in attendance we are going to send a real progressive to the State Senate from District 39.
